I have worked in the asbestos industry since 2004 following 3 years studying Physics at Newcastle University. I began my career in asbestos at a small family ran business based in Northumberland, then joining Gary and Steve in 2005 at Bureau Veritas where I gained my most valuable experience in this industry. Under Gary’s tutorship I progressed very quickly from being a site surveying/analytical consultant to project manager within 2 years. Following these initial years I have gained valuable experience at other large and small asbestos consultancies based in the North East of England progressing from Project Manager, Deputy Regional Manager, Regional Manager and now Operations Manager with Omega Asbestos Consulting. I have experience of working with clients from all spectrums from the banking sector, retail, charities and local authorities to name a few.
I very recently teamed back up with Gary and Steve in February 2016, it was clear to me that they have moved Omega forward at an astounding rate since its conception in 2010 from humble beginnings to now operating out of three offices with a 20+ strong team of experienced multi-disciplined staff; I had to get involved in the Omega revolution and help keep the business growing and moving forward. Using my experience I am confident I can help push Omega forward over the coming months and years to grow us to be the market leader in the asbestos industry and other fields.
In March 2019, I was proud to become Operations Director, a shareholding Director of Omega. I firmly believe that with Gary, Steve and myself at the helm as the new Board of Directors we will continue to build our community of excellent people and clients, and make a positive impact on the industry.
Outside of Omega, I enjoy course fishing (fair weather) in Northumberland and North Yorkshire, playing pool for my local pub, supporting Blyth Spartans my local non-league football team and the occasional round of golf.
